PGR Development Pop-Up Session: Demystifying the REF

This session will set out what the Research Excellence Framework is all about and why it matters.

About this event

This session will provide an introduction to the Research Excellence Framework and is designed for those who are new to the REF or have questions about it. During the session, participants will hear about why REF matters, how we did in recent exercises and preparations for the upcoming REF 2029. Participants will have a chance to hear from two UoL colleagues who have been involved in REF preparations locally and nationally and to ask any questions.

This session will also consider how and where PGRs feature in REF agendas.

Joining details will be sent 2 days and 2 hours before the session begins to the email address you registered with.

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Have an understanding of REF and what it means
  • Understand the role of PGRs in REF exercises
